The DL2 NP (Narrow Profile) is a sleek and lightweight rack, suitable for smaller transit vehicles. The main difference between the DL2 NP rack and the original DL2, is the DL2 NP is smaller and its profile is 10” narrower when mounted on the vehicle. It is ideal for small transit vehicles and when minimal headlight and turn signal interference is required.
The DL2 NP rack can still transport two bikes, which can be independently loaded and unloaded. It accommodates wheel sizes from 20" to 29" and up to a 44" wheel base. Just like the original DL2, the NP is very lightweight, made of either mild or stainless steel and has the same ease of use.
The DL2 NP's unique No Scratch™ support arm secures the front tyre without the need for straps or cords and prevents damage to bikes.
To load a bike, the cyclist simply places the bicycle in the tray then pulls the spring arm out and over the wheel to securely mount the bike on the rack, without the need for assistance from the driver, so buses can keep to schedule.
