The Apex 3™ transit bike rack holds up to three bikes.
The Apex 3™ bike rack sets a new standard for safety and performance in transit bike racks. The frame, wheel trays and support arms have been specifically designed to reduce bounce, and minimise the rack's footprint for a better vehicle turn radius, as well as improved headlight/turn signal visibility and safety.
The Apex 3™ is the first 3-position bicycle rack recommended for use on cutaways (excluding Chevrolet 4500 and 5500) and other small vehicles measuring 96 inches or greater in width excluding mirrors. It is compatible with existing Sportworks mounting brackets.
Simple and easy to use, the cyclist can independently load and unload their bike without the need for assistance from the driver, so buses can keep to schedule.
Modified wheel trays accommodate bikes that have up to 29 inch diameter wheels, 3.2 inch wide tyres and a 48 inch wheelbase.
Support arm handles provide enhanced ergonomics and ease of use.
Modular design allows for damaged and worn out parts to be easily replaced, reducing maintenance costs.
Durable stainless steel construction with an anti-glare finish provides maximum corrosion resistance.
Optional fat tyre trays and support arms accommodate tyres up to 5.5 inches in width and a 51 inch wheelbase.
